Brokering by Maats
Brokering late-model, low-hour equipment is one of the pillars underneath Maats Used Equipment. With a trusted network of suppliers across Europe and discerning buyers worldwide, we provide dependable machinery that meets the highest standards. Over more than two decades, Roderik van der Velde has cultivated an extensive and reliable network of suppliers and clients — a network utilised daily to uphold the exacting standards and expectations of a trusted broker.
We work by the “push & pull” method when redistributing a machine:
- you are looking for a late-model, low-houred machine and ask us to locate a suitable unit: you ask us to pull a machine from the market;
- you have a recent, high-quality machine for sale and would like us to identify a potential buyer – in other words: you want us to push the machine towards a new owner.
Our brokering process
We adhere to a transparent process carefully designed to safeguard the interests of both supplier and customer.
In some cases
A deposit may be required, as Maats assumes full financial risk for the machine throughout the entire process.

- Step 1 – Agreement Price and terms are agreed with the customer in advance, prior to any visit to inspect the machine.
- Step 2 – Commitment On-site, if the machine meets all specified requirements, Maats completes the purchase under its own title and assumes full responsibility for it. This is the so-called ‘point of no return’.
- Step 3 – Preparation Where feasible, the unit is transported to our yard in the Netherlands for thorough cleaning, repairs, or any required modification.
- Step 4 – Proof & payment Upon arrival at our yard, we supply comprehensive photographic documentation and issue a request for customer payment.
- Step 5 – Delivery Following receipt of payment, the machine is dispatched to the designated port or final destination.
What you CAN EXPECT from us and what we expect FROM YOU
OUR promise
Every machine meets – and often exceeds – expectations upon arrival at its destination.
Your PROMISE
Your payment becomes due after we have supplied photographic evidence confirming that the machine has arrived in our yard in the Netherlands
